If you have a fireplace, you might want to get a mantle clock! It also works well on desks, shelves, and places where you don't really see the rear.
The look of black cherry, black walnut, and black locust is second to none. And these woods retain their color well over time, unlike some of the red, purple, orange, etc. colors of woods. In fact, cherry gets more beautiful over the years! Also there is a little red oak in the clock. Other woods are possible as well.
The height is about 10"-11" and the width about 10"-11" as well. It has a lacquer finish and features unbreakable plexiglass. The quartz clock movement uses a AA battery and is accessible from the rear.
I charge a premium for these because they are a bit of a pain to make, but if you want this look, go for it. I also charge a bit for the big box and ample padding required for safety.
