Serving Tray with Sea Creature Images
This charcuterie board or serving tray features limba heartwood and oak (oak runs through the middle). As well, there are little sea creatures laser cut out of wood embedded in clear resin! There are handles of limba, and also rubber feet on the bottom. The length measures about 17". The finish is very close to the wood, or natural-looking and -feeling.
This is what I would call great, but not excellent. The photos are very high resolution and they are worth 3,000 words :) I grade it as merely "great" because there are some tiny holes insects used as passages (you can see little black holes or dots). But some people would call that character. Also there are some tiny tiny bubbles suspended in the resin, and so when you sand the resin you get little holes (half a bubble = a hole, basically). I filled them with wax so they are no big deal, but aesthetically this board is not perfect. The strengths of the tray are the jazzy routed edge, the cool sea creatures, and the limba heartwood which is unsurpassed in beauty. The handles are snazzy and the rubber feet are useful.
If all this is fine with you, then go ahead and take advantage of this attractive price and very neato tray!
