North Carolina red or silver maple makes up the majority of this substantial cutting board. The other woods involved are canary wood and macacauba, very hard and beautiful woods.
The dimensions are 19.5" with the handles by 11", and it weighs a whopping 8.5 lbs.
It is really this pretty in person! The "figure" of the wood makes it look almost shimmery in good light. This beautiful, reversible board will last a lifetime with proper maintenance (essentially, keeping an oil or wax on it, and not putting it in the dishwasher).
There is a minor imperfection in the wood--a little divot about 3mm in diameter. It won't cause any issues for you.
