This is a beautiful slice of a burl from a maple tree, which is basically a growth on the trunk due to disease or fungus or other irritant. The "figure" or the design, basically, is amazing. Eggshell lacquer finish. Sits upright on a flat surface such as a desk or table. Approximately 11" tall.
