Limba heartwood with a canary wood base. Tung oil finish. The fossil is an authentic ammonite, which is a fascinating sea creature from an era long ago (and was discovered in Madagascar). It is approximately 6.75” tall, 7.5" wide and it weighs 2.75 lbs.
Clearly, there are two different pieces pictured here. The one with the brownish wood has sold, but I could easily remake something very similar (with a new ammonite, that is). The reddish one I currently have available. If you want the reddish one, it's yours; if you want a third version then please just be in touch via email and we can make that happen.
