Since each piece of wood used in a project requires cutting, sanding, jointing, and gluing, the more pieces--the more work! Then you've got cutting it into a circle, sanding, putting an edge on, affixing the turntable, and finishing three times. Thus this was a significant effort, but I think it was worth it in the end. A very pretty and pretty sizeable Lazy Susan turntable was created! Polyurethane and shellac finish.
Will hold about as much as anything you could put on it that is food-related! Use a trivet if it is a hot pot or pan.
